World 135

My perfect future – in World 135 – is full of clothes…clothes swaps! Because what I dream of is the world without new things, new materials and new trash. In my future people don’t want more, because after years of ignoring climate crisis they finally felt that its getting closer and closer and thats why they started to spread different perspective in which we have oppurtunity to see that we can have other options, that are better for us and Mother Earth, better than producing and buying.

I prefer word „swap” than „buy”., I prefer word „save” than „produce”. Events like these are not just about swapping, because what is really important is to get to know a story of this jacket or T-shirt, it’s kinda like swapping a history of clothes and making a new one. It’s about to be in love with fashion, in a slow way of course!

What if …

we had transparent, ethical and ecological options for clothing?

Issue:

Producing more clothes, but not giving enough opportunity for people to get rid of clothing

Inspiration:

Events that I organise – clothes swaps –and my fav Polish company, „ubrania do oddania”
