Enactments are Stage 3 activities that bring the fictional Worlds to life through embodied practice and performance.

Enactments build on either Stage 1 Worlds or Stage 2 Explorations – sometimes the prototype itself, sometimes the discussions involved in its development. Each World can be developed into an unlimited number of Enactments.

Accounts of completed Enactments are divided into three types: Reports are descriptions of the recent Enactments, as experienced by participants; Stories are creative responses, produced in association with Atlas of the Future; and Recipes are adaptable instructions for enacting the World yourself.
