World 263

In World 263 in 2050, over-consumption has reached a breaking point, with landfills overflowing and natural resources exhausted by the constant demand for fast fashion. Governments enforce a “Material Preservation Act” to limit the production of new textiles. Wool, with its durability and ability to be endlessly recycled, becomes the primary material for all clothing.

Fashion design students must design adaptable, modular garments made from wool that can be reconfigured and reused for decades. Their task is to create a sustainable, slow-fashion circular model that counters the environmental destruction caused by over-consumption.

What if …

… wool were to become a primary material for modular garments?

Issue targeted:

materiality, durability and recycling

Farzedelim:

Yün modüler giysiler için birincil malzeme olsaydı?

Sorun:

Malzeme, dayanıklılık, geri dönüşüm
