Fashion Fictions for Children film

Fashion Fictions for Children – like the wider Fashion Fictions project – is all about inspiring playful imagination.

We aim to generate thought-provoking stories and experiences that change the way we see the world around us and inspire new ways we might live with our clothes. Who better to involve in these activities than children, with all their energy and creative flair?

During 2024 we ran a pilot project in collaboration with Ignite!Bulwell Arts Festival and six Nottingham primary schools. The project involved 230 children who took part in all three stages of Fashion Fictions – imagining, exploring and enacting fictional fashion worlds. This short film is the story of that project and the Fashion Fictions for Children resource pack that it informed.

We hope you enjoy the film and feel inspired to get involved!
