World 195

In World 195, the west did not colonize Southeast Asian countries, therefore there is no concept of westernization. In this world, we are redefining contemporary dressing, where the East influences the East, creating cultural hybridity, and eliminating western influence from our practices.

We focus on celebrating cultural differences through a multi-media platform that is innovative and progressive. With Singapore being the fashion capital, Southeast Asian cultures dominate the fashion world.

What if …

instead of France and Europe, fashion revolves around and happens in Southeast Asia?

Issue targeted:

cultural hybridity
