World 271

In World 271, families have inherited fabrics and clothing and they become valued as part of the family stories. Clothes narrate to the family member what they experienced travelling around the world during the production process and this is an integral part of the individual family’s lore. Clothing and fabrics are inherited as part of people’s estate, when they die, and purchasing new fabrics is rare. Repair salons aim to encourage the reduction of one’s expenditure on new garments and fabrics.
