World 19, Exploration A

Eco-fashion magazine article featuring rose hips.

Séasúr is the big fashion magazine in World 19. These layouts for the September issue – also known as the Mabon issue, or the Harvest issue – show how ecology and seasonality guide all fashion choices.

The cover shows the model in the midst of the crucial act of composting, and highlights the important event of the month: Allotment Show Week. A feature titled ‘Who Are You Wearing’ presents the different species that the garment benefits: the jumping spider, the giant barred frog, and a species of hover fly.

Another feature tells readers that this season it’s all about hips, hips, hips. Not human hips, but rose hips and the benefits they can have for wildlife. The beauty edit shows that soil-encrusted nails are what everyone wants to be seen with this season.
