In World 276, a disparate group of makers began to REFUSE to use their clothes to openly communicate and connect directly with others. Instead people focus on the internal rather than the external expression. Inner authenticity is seen as the ultimate style symbol. Identity is transient and nomadic lifestyles are the new normal. People feel pride in modelling their vulnerability. The general groundswell of activism of doing rather than consuming emerged, wearing garments that demonstrate lineage to their ancestors. No matter where they are transported, they retain a sense of connection.
